Girl Friendship Events – Girls with their leaders-
Easter Break, Summer Holidays and New Year Break
Our Cabana holds Girl Friendship events specifically for 13 to 18 year old members of WAGGGS. These are held during the Easter break, the Summer months June-August and New Year. Participants are given the opportunity to meet and work with Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from other countries, often resulting in life-long friendships.
Our programs are cultural and include many activities and workshops based around the current WAGGGS themes and initiatives. We have a craft house where participants can learn about the traditional Mexican crafts and try making some themselves! We have a swimming pool, tennis court, volleyball court, 5 acres of grounds and seating areas where you can relax and talk with your friends.
During each event we take part in a service project with the local community and usually this involves children from the communities coming to Our Cabana to take part in a day of activities that we have planned for them.
We have trips to several places of local interest. These include Cuernavaca, the city where Our Cabana is situated, Taxco the silver capital of Mexico and Tepoztlan, a traditional Mexican craft market town.
