Xochicalco

Xochicalco archaeological site is approximately 3/4 of an hour from Our Cabaña by bus. 

This wonderful pyramid village is situated on a hillside overlooking the valley below. 

There is a ceremonial Plaza, the pyramid of the plumed serpent, the ball court and also a number of caves. 

You can also visit the observatory where the interior has been modified and adapted as an astronomical observatory and where the movement of the sun was observed and recorded.

There is also a museum at Xochicalco with many interesting exhibits.

Xochicalco is offered as a session excursion on some of our sessions.
