Our World Centre
Our Cabaña is one of the four world centres owned by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. Each centre offers a unique Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting experience, influenced by the culture of the country and the international composition of our staff members. These two influences blend at Our Cabaña to produce a program that is unique to Mexico, unique to Our Cabaña, and unique to the time of your visit.
The Chief’s door, through which all visitors pass, is only the start of the experience of being at Our Cabaña. Behind this impressive blue door are five acres of gardens, many buildings and special places where friendships can begin and flourish. Our Cabaña opened in July 1957 and since that date has welcomed over 70,000 Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from around the world.
Let us offer you ...
a greeting smile so friendly and a handshake so warm

I want to thank all of the wonderful people at Nuestra Cabana for the awesome Monarch Butterfly/Thinking Day Session. I learned so much and had so many enriching experiences. Meeting so many people from all over the world and learning about their Guiding/Scouting experiences was the best. Everyone in Guiding/Scouting should visit Our Cabana! I told the Girl Scout Troops I advise and they were entranced.

Heey :) At go to Aghadowey 1st Guides in Agghadowey Northern Ireland and were doing a special presention week at guides on different countries and there guide tradition. Our patrol choose Mexico and I have been choosen to find out some exciting information on Our Cabana in Mexico. I cant wait. Were also making Tacos as a simple dish from Mexico. I hope Mexican people eat Tacos??? I was also wondering if there were any Mexcian girl guides between 13 and 15 years old because I would really love a pen pal that i could email and send letters to. So if there are any girl guides that would also like a pen pal i'd love one to :) Cant wait until our presentation week at Guides!

Hello! I was at Our Cabana when I was 15 in 1969! It was a wonderful experience. We were in Mexico nearly a month, meeting girls from Guatemala, El Salvador, Canada, Honduras and other girls from the U.S. I remember so much of that trip, right down to the delicious spoonful of rich caramel served for dessert! I went on to be a Girl Scout leader for a troop in Ohio and then for my own daughter's troop in New York. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

I just went to Our Cabana about 2 weeks ago. It was the trip of a life time! Our troop had so much fun, learned many new songs and games from girls from all over the world. Getting to meet the staff and volunteers from all around the world was awesome! This is definitely a trip I and our whole troop will never forget. We miss all of you and hope that you get the chance to come visit us up here in Alaska!

In Mexico there is a place full of love and laughter and it is the Cabana. As soon as I got there I didn´t want to leave, I have met so many new friends and I still keep in touch with them . I miss it dearley, I would do anything to go back there and I pray that one day I will be able to. I hold on dear to the memories that I have, the people I met met and the people I had to say goodbye to. But one thing will never change is the love I have fealt fom everybody at the Cabana and everybody who attended .If you are planing to visit there someday I have some advice. Make as many memories as possible, get alot of e-mail addresses and make some new friends.
