Our World Centre
Our Cabaña is one of the four world centres owned by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
Each centre offers a unique Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting experience, influenced by the culture of the country and the international composition of our staff members. These two influences blend at Our Cabaña to produce a program that is unique to Mexico, unique to Our Cabaña, and unique to the time of your visit.
The Chief’s door, through which all visitors pass, is only the start of the experience of being at Our Cabaña.
Behind this impressive blue door are five acres of gardens, many buildings and special places where friendships can begin and flourish.
Our Cabaña opened in July 1957 and since that date has welcomed thousands of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from around the world.

I visited Our Cabana as a group of 16 in October/November 2012, we were lucky enough to be there for the Day of the Dead celebrations. It was a most humbling experience to be welcomed into the homes of the local people. I will never forget the colour of those days, so different to the way we deal with someone's death in the West.
The staff at Our Cabana were amazing, the food excellent I would love to return.

Your page is facinating and I should to visit some day. However I am now of Trefoil Guild age and find the long flight a little offputting! A group of local guides are visiting later in the year and I seem to remember singing a song about Our Cabana years ago when I was a guider in Glasgow. Any chance of the words? I should be much obliged! Thanks.

I have the pleasure of visiting the Cabana for the first time later this month. From all accounts it promises to an unforgettable educational and cultural experience.

I first visited Our Cabana in 1960 as a senior scout: life-changing! Am still close to Marianna from Peru, who was my "secret pal" while there. In 1968 I was on summer staff doing arts and crafts: came home still singing, still laughing, still craving beans and tortillas for breakfast. Back a few times since then. If you haven't been yet, GO!

I was on the site looking at all the pictures. I can still remember my time spent there back in 1986. I still have most of the paperwork and I have all my "swaps" that I returned home to TX with. I just loved my time there and my interactions with the other Scouts and Guides during visit.

Our troop has just returned from a Friendship week at Our Cabana, we had a fabulous time! The staff was amazing, the food was yummy, the accommodations were perfect and the activities were always fun. We never felt unsafe on the grounds or out touring! Thank you for a great week!
